Top Fashion colors Spring/Summer 2014

Posted by

One of the questions many ask when it comes to the change of season in fashion is...what are the most fashionable colors this coming season?

Well I have done some research myself for both my curiosity as a fashionista as well as my business.

Here you can see what colors top designers showed on the runway:

Black and White

This classic color combination is going to continue running its way also through the warm summer season. Many designers have flooded their runways with this color combination including Diane von Furstenberg and Ralph Lauren.

Icy Pastels

From mint to pale blue, lilac and the classic old rose, pastel colors are back in the scene this season. These colors were particularly seen in materials such as shiny satin to give that fresh yet luxury look.

White

In my honest opinion a white garment in your closet is a timeless yet chic piece. It never gets out of fashion but this season it dominated the runway with top to toe  white outfits and I do not mean a white dress but wearing a top, trouser, jacket in shoes all in white, no other color in the scene.

Pink

Different shades of pink accents sported the runway. Designers such as Helmut Lang and Rebecca Taylor threw in the occasional pink accent to some of the outfits presented.

Metallics

Glamorous metallic colors such as gold, silver, bronze and even metallic black were seen to bring on luxury to the runways of popular designers such as Tory Burch. Surely they are more suitable to wear for an evening night out rather than going out for lunch with the ladies. However every girl out there who tries on this shimmery look will surely feel like a million dollars and most definitely be an eye catcher at the club.

Vibrant Colors

Royal Blue as well as the classic red will also be part of the scene this season. It seems like these colors have become resident colors in many collections throughout the season such as the above two piece set worn by Katy Perry. Orange and Yellow might not be the favorites with many of you but surely they will be trending this summer. I am sure they are a favorite for those out there who are vibrant and love experimenting with color.

Later on I will post hints on how these colors can be dressed and matched up so keep your eyes open for my next post
